Mulco belt-pilot

Reliable running behaviour, even without flanges.

The ATN with V guide

Despite being one of the most recent developments, the BRECO® ATN timing belt proves extremely successful in numerous areas of conveying technology. Designed by BRECO Antriebstechnik Breher GmbH + Co. - Member of the Mulco-Europe EWIV -, the ANT with its intelligent further developments shows the immense possibilities continually offered by the product ‘Polyurethane timing belt’ even with the aspects of cost saving and design simplification in mind.

A BRECO ATN standard belt is guided on the pulley by flanges. However, especially in conveying technology there are function-referenced drive situations where the use of flanges is not possible. If, for example, timing belts have to run in a vertically fitted position, there is the danger of the belt running off the pulley. Even when fitted flat, timing belts imply the risk of deflecting when laterally loaded with goods to be transported, as examples from the conveying technology prove.

BRECO developers have solved these problems by providing the 10 and 12.7 pitch ATN belts with a 6 mm wide V guide for reliable guidance. For technical production reasons, only the V guide of 50 mm wide belts is centred, whereas it is arranged asymmetrically in relation to the overall width in the 1st and 2nd track for insert parts on the 75 and 100 mm wide belts.

New. Bed plates for the ATN with V guide

To be able to solve conveying tasks which require the free span to be supported due to load reasons or because of the length of the timing belt used, BRECO have developed bed plates for the V guide that can assume further guiding tasks at the same time.

The products K and KC are available for the 50 mm wide BRECO ATN timing belts with V guide. For the asymmetric V guide of the 75 and 100 mm wide belts the bed plates are correspondingly adapted.

New: ATN with PAZ or PAZ/PAR facing/backing

With immediately effect, the BRECO ATN timing belt is available in all pitches with a PAR or PAZ/PAR facing/backing. A colour differentiation is made for the facing applied on the tooth (PAZ) and for the backing on the back of the belt (PAR): the PAZ facing is white, the PAR backing is green.

New: Computation program ATN-CONNECT:

newly developed software now helps the developer to optimise the ATN flight connection. ATN-CONNECT is clearly designed and simple to operate. The user enters the planned application parameters, such as masses, speeds and accelerations, selects the belt pitch and width, the pulley diameter and a flight geometry. On the basis of these data, the program calculates a possible type of connection, such as, for instance, brass insert parts with a polyamide flight. The program comes on an installation CD and is also downloadable from the Internet under www.breco.de.

This further development of the successful BRECO ATN timing belt maintains, of course, all advantages known from the previous belt version, for example:
  • Use of different flight materials
  • Variable flight pitch
  • High precision of the flight position in relation to the timing belt
  • Fast response to changing application conditions or products is possible without having to change the belt
  • ATN lowers the development cost by the time factor. Tests lead much quicker to mature designs

New features:

  • Possibility to connect the belt in the machine by means of the BRECO ATN timing belt closure
  • In addition to the ATN insert plastic or brass parts offered so far for flight fastening, now also insert parts made of stainless steel (V2A) are available
  • Cost advantages by simple assembly
  • Complex belt runs become very simple by the self-guiding V
Based on the material composition of the Polyurethane timing belts proven for decades and permitting perfect stock-keeping due to their standard dimensions, the multitude of applications is only limited by the creativity of designers and users.
